Toronto, ON -- Today, Jantzi-Sustainalytics reported that the Jantzi Social Index® (JSI) decreased in value by 5.76 per cent during the month of January. During the same period, the S&P/TSX Composite Index decreased by 5.35 per cent and the S&P/TSX 60 Index decreased by 6.26 per cent. Since inception on January 1, 2000 through January 31, 2010, the JSI achieved an annualized return of 5.01 per cent, while the S&P/TSX Composite and the S&P/TSX 60 had annualized returns of 4.98 per cent and 4.83 per cent respectively, over the same period.
