Academic Research

Companies continue to make incremental strides on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) according to second edition of Corporate Social Responsibility in Canada: The 2009 Ivey-Jantzi Report. According to the 2009 report, Canadian companies have improved their overall CSR performance in 2008. The report, based on an ongoing collaboration between Ivey and Jantzi Research, reveals continuing improvement performance during 2008. In 2008  79 per cent of companies improved CSR ratings, which is up from 65 per cent the previous year. The study finds, across all categories, that companies are investing in, formalizing and communicating their CSR initiatives. You can track the trend with the findings from the first, 2008 Ivey-Jantzi CSR report.

There is a growing body of literature examining the impact on financial performance of integrating environmental, social, and governance factors into the investment process. Below are some academic studies, which use Jantzi Research's data and analysis.
